APIC v5 Manager OVA deployment issues into VMWare vSphere v6.5

Resolving The Problem

Problem 1) VMWare UI Issues detected with selected template. Details:" - 52:9:ELEMENT_ILLEGAL:Element "partition" is not allowed

Substeps to resolve element error:

          1) extract the ova into a folder using 7zip

          2) in that new folder, open rel_apimgmt.ovf and comment out the lines cloudburst:partition ...

          3) Put OVF + contents back into a result OVA file to deploy using this ovftool command:

          ovftool --skipManifestCheck --shaAlgorithm=SHA1 --targetType=OVA C:\data\APIConnect_Management_5.0.8.7iFix_20191009-0116_efaaaf9e3719_a69d539\rel_apimgmt.ovf c:\data\result.ova

Problem 2) VMWare UI 503 service unavailable (storage/upload might be a problem):

Problem 3) VMWare UI Unable to process template

If a remote URL is being used to deploy OVA, then avoid using '@' in the password

Problem 4) Changed from HTML 5->Flash vSphere Web Client (Deploy OVF Template Step 3 'select a resource' hangs on validating progress bar in HTML 5 client on ESX 6.5)

Problem 5) Changed from Chrome->FireFox potential same issues as noted in Problem #4
