APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • DataPower may reload if a log target config is changed. This
can occur if the config is changed manually (CLI, WebGUI) or
automatically (APIC, DPOD). If there is heavy logging occurring
at the time, the chances of a reload are higher.

Local fix

  • NONE:

Problem summary

  • Logging can occur at any time on any target. If a log target
is being deleted at the time a log message it subscribes
to is being processed, the device may experience an unexpected
    reload.

Problem conclusion

  • Rewrite the way log targets are added/deleted to ensure
the log target remains until any subscribed messages have been
    flushed out.

    Fixed in: 2018.4.1.15 10.0.1.2

Temporary fix

  • Reduce or eliminate if possible,
log target deletes on heavily logged systems.
