IT35497: TRUNCATE SQL LOGS FAILS WITH EMPTY ERROR MESSAGE WHEN CATALOG IS NOT ENABLED

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• IBM Spectrum Protect Plus SQL log truncation option as part of a
  virtual machine backup is invoked only when the file catalog
  option is also enabled. By enabling the file catalog option,
  credentials are required and used for the SQL log truncation
  operation.
  

Local fix

• Enable File cataloging option and provide proper user
  credentials.
