Error description

  • Deletion of user from IBM Spectrum Protect Plus UI that has a
    defined restore job will result in cleanup of restore job to
    fail. The restore is successful.
    
    You may see the following in
    the restore job log:
    
    CTGGA2177 Unexpected error during
    recovery step (Load storage data). Contact support for further
    assistance.
    
    Cleanup with force option won't successfully
    remove the restore job from the UI

    Versions Affected: 10.1.5
    
    Customer/L2 Diagnostics (If

    Check to see if user that defined the restore job
    was removed from the appliance UI. If yes, then you may be
    running into this issue

Problem conclusion

  • The fix for this issue is to change the run as user for active
    restore job sessions to admin if the user is deleted. This
    allows the job session to allow them to cleanup.
