Error description

  • The MSTR joblog contains the error:

*CSQV086E QUEUE MANAGER ABNORMAL TERMINATION REASON=00C94510
    IEA794I SVC DUMP HAS CAPTURED:

    DUMP TITLE=ssid,ABN=5C6-00C5101F,U=SYSOPR ,C=MQ900.910.CFM -CS
    QERADM,M=CSQGFRCV,LOC=CSQELPLM.CSQERADM+000016EC

    Afterwards, the CHIN joblog contained:

    CSQX609E CSQXRESP Resources in recovery,
    channel <channel-name>
    MQCC=2 MQRC=2350 (MQRC_CONN_TAG_NOT_USABLE)

    ABEND5C6 Reason code 00C5101F means CSQE_Invalid_URState_Rad1.
It was issued by routine Reconcile_A_UOWD in CSQERADM because
    it found a UOW with:
    - IUWE status = 'NC' = ur_incomplete
    - eMUSE status = eMUSE_begin_in_commit

That is not considered a valid state, because in order to get
into the ur_incomplete state, a UOW must have gotten to the
point of committing work and then lost connectivity to a CF
structure during the commit. The UOW status in the eMUSE
control block by that point should be eMUSE_in_commit.

However, the update to the eMUSE was lost because connectivity
to the CSQ_ADMIN structure was lost during commit. The joblog
from when the queue manager was last running confirms that
connectivity was lost to the admin structure at the same time
    as the application structures:

CSQE007I CSQESTE EEPLLOSSCONN event received for
     structure CSQ_ADMIN <connection-name>
    IXL016I CONNECTOR <connector> TO STRUCTURE qsgCSQ_ADMIN
     TERMINATING:
JOB ssidMSTR ASID ssid REQUESTED DISCONNECT REASON=FAILURE.
CSQE007I CSQESTE EEPLLOSSCONN event received for
     structure <connection-name>

The consistency checks in CSQERADM need to take this situation
    into account.

    ****************************************************************
If connectivity is lost to the administrative CF structure
during commit processing, updates to the admin structure might
fail, causing admin structure entries to indicate the a UOW is
still in begin commit state, while the UOW has in fact
progressed to in commit and then UR incomplete state.
CSQERADM and CSQERWI1 detect this difference in state
during admin structure reconciliation and peer-level
recovery respectively, and abend as the situation is unexpected.

Problem conclusion

  • CSQERADM and CSQERWI1 are changed to tolerate admin
structure entries in begin commit state for units of work in UR
    incomplete state.
