PH32041 resolves the following problem:
ERROR DESCRIPTION:
When using the custom password encryption on WebSphere Application Server 8.5.5.18, failures such as NullPointerException may occur.
PROBLEM SUMMARY:
USERS AFFECTED:
All users of IBM WebSphere Application Server 8.5.5.18 using plug point for custom password encryption.
PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
When using the custom password encryption on WebSphere Application Server 8.5.5.18, failures such as NullPointerException may occur.
PROBLEM CONCLUSION:
The code has been fixed.
The fix for this APAR is targeted for inclusion in fix pack 8.5.5.19. For more information, see 'Recommended Updates for WebSphere Application Server':
