PH32101: CITS ABEND AZVB

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• CITS abend AZVB when a transaction routing request is
  reinstalling remote APPC connection into an AOR after the TOR
  has been restarted.

Problem summary

  ****************************************************************
  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: CITS abends AZVB or AZVE.               *
  ****************************************************************
  When performing Transaction Routing requiring a remote APPC
  connection, CITS can suffer abends if the remote connection
  needs to be replaced.
  
  If an existing remote APPC connection needs to be replaced,the
  CITS ENQ is not held throughout the delete and reinstall
  process.
  This allows more than one transaction to attempt to install
  the remote connection at the same time. Once the connection
  is successfully installed, any other tasks attempting to
  install the same remote APPC connection will abend.
  Abend AZVB or AZVE can be seen.
  

Problem conclusion

• DFHZTSP has been changed so that the CITS ENQ is held throughout
  the delete and recreate process if a remote APPC connection
  needs to be replaced.
