IJ29400: UNABLE TO SELECT THE DIALOG DISPLAYS OBJECT STRUCTURES ON AUTHORIZE OBJECT STRUCTURES

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• PROBLEM:
  
  The "Authorize Object Structures" dialog displays
  Object Structures pertaining to the application in the top
  table. A second and third table display Signature Options for
  each Object Structure with a checkbox indicating whether the
  Signature Option has been granted to the Security Group for the
  specified Object Structure. But these checkboxes are always
  unchecked when bring up the dialog. Tried checking a couple of
  the boxes and hitting "OK" which closed the dialog and
  apparently changed my changes. Yet when open the dialog again,
  the boxes I checked are unchecked again.
  
  
  PERFORMANCE
  ISSUE:

  STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
  
  1) Go To Security Groups.
  2)
  Create and Save a new Group.
  3) On the "Applications" tab,
  search from the "Conduct an Inspection" application.
  4) Click
  the "Object Structure Authorizations" dialog.
  5) On the
  "Authorize Object Structures" dialog, click on the row in the
  "Object Structures used in Conduct an Inspection" table with
  "MXAPIDOCTYPE" in the "Object Structure Name" column.
  6) In the
  "Authorization for Object Structure Maximo API for Retrieving
  doctypes Data" table, check the checkbox on the row for "Read
  MXAPIDOCTYPE".
  7) Click "OK".
  8) Repeat Steps 4 and 5.
  
  Note
  that the Grant Access fron Object Structure Authorizations
  wasn't selected until you click on Options for Conduct an
  Inspection and save on Application tab
  
  CURRENT ERRONEOUS
  RESULT:
  Note that the Grant Access from Object Structure
  Authorizations wasn't selected until you click on Options for
  Conduct an Inspection and save on Application tab
  
  EXPECTED
  RESULT:
  The expected results is select the Object Structure
  Authorizations and the checkbox continue marked after the
  dialog is closed.

Problem summary

• For released versions the fix will need to be applied manually.
  Steps:
  1 Export SECUREGROUP presentation
  2. Find dialog with id="wcosauthorize" and set property
  datasrc="appls_app_table" to this dialog
  3. Import presentation back

• The fix for this APAR is contained in the following maintenance
  package: release\fix pack for Release 7.6.1.3 Product
