Question & Answer
Question
Can I use IBMid login with the Blueworks Live APIs or Business Automation Workflow?
Answer
If you are accessing Blueworks Live with the Blueworks Live REST API and basic authentication, then you need to disable IBMid authentication and enable Blueworks Live authentication instead. The same applies to users who are subscribing to Blueworks Live processes in IBM Business Automation Workflow (BAW)/Process Designer.
API access with basic authentication works only if the user is configured for BWL authentication. Otherwise, API call fails with error account_oidc_sso_enabled.
Recommendation: Use OAuth2 with Blueworks Live service IDs.
An administrator in the account must enable API access with service IDs and create service IDs for each API.
A service ID can be downloaded on creation only.
If basicAuth must be used, or you need to subscribe to Blueworks Live processes in BAW, you can disable IBMid authentication by following the steps in the article here: https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/node/6365467
