How do I enable IBMid authentication for all users in my Blueworks Live account?

Question & Answer

Question

How do I enable IBMid authentication for all users in my Blueworks Live account?

Answer

IBMid is one of three authentication methods supported by IBM Blueworks Live and can be enabled at both the account or individual user level. You must have administrator access to modify the authentication settings for an entire account.
To enable IBMid authentication for all users in an account, follow these steps:
1. From the top navigation menu, select the Admin > Security > IBMid tab

2. Click Enable IBMid
Note: If the Enable IBMid button is disabled, it means another administrator in your account locked the administrator pages from changes. Contact your account's main administrator or open a case with the Blueworks Live support team to unlock and make changes.

3. In the "Email domains to Authenticate with IBMid" field, enter the domains of all emails that authenticate with IBMid.
 * means: All users authenticate with IBMid.
You can enter multiple domains with a space (for example:  abc.com xyz.com bwl.com *.astra.com).
4. In the Session Duration field, you can select how many minutes a user's session remains active before the user is asked to authenticate again. By default, 720 minutes (12 hours) is entered.
5. If your account purchased viewer licenses, you can check the box next to Enable Just-in-Time Provisioning. Without Just-in-Time Provisioning, every Blueworks Live user must be invited individually.
6. Click Apply
7. Select who is notified of this change: "Only Admins" or "Admins and all users".
8. A notification mail is automatically sent to all selected users.

Once IBMid authentication is enabled, administrators can still change authentication type for individual users in their account who have a need to log into Blueworks Live using another method.
