IBM Support

Using dual monitor configuration with IBM Rhapsody shows incomplete dialog windows

Troubleshooting

Problem

Using IBM Rhapsody on a Microsoft Windows machine with dual monitors connected, shows dialog windows with missing icons or input fields on the 2nd monitor.

Symptom

Some dialog windows, like Feature dialog, Search & Replace windows, have missing icons or input fields on the 2nd monitor.

Cause

This effect is caused by internal display manager and graphic libraries used with IBM Rhapsody.

Environment

Windows 10 system with more that 1 monitor connected.

Diagnosing The Problem

Open the dialog windows and move them to the 2nd monitor. Elements disappear. Move the windows back to the 1st monitor, you can see and use the elements.

Resolving The Problem

In Windows 10 settings, configure the second monitor to be on the right because buggy effect occurs only when the 2nd monitor is used on the left of the 1st monitor.
