Error description
When using the "TEST(NODWARF)" compilation option without any other parameter (or with EJPD/NOEJPD), this triggers an IGYOS4097-I message: IGYOS4097-I The TEST suboption values of SOURCE or SEPARATE are not allowed when NODWARF is in effect. The supported values of NOSOURCE and NOSEPARATE will be used instead.

Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: Users of the V63 Enterprise COBOL compiler * * who are compiling with the TEST(NODWARF) * * compiler option. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Unnecessary output: Some users have * * complained about the generation of * * message IGYOS4097-I 'The TEST * * suboption values of SOURCE or SEPARATE * * are not allowed when NODWARF is in * * effect. The supported values of * * NOSOURCE and NOSEPARATE will be used * * instead.' when compiling with option * * TEST(NODWARF), that it doesn't provide * * any non-intuitive information and * * should be eliminated. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the IBM provided PTF and recompile * **************************************************************** According to the description in the z/OS Enterprise COBOL Programming Guide, the default suboptions for the TEST compiler option are NOEJPD, DWARF, SOURCE, NOSEPARATE when TEST is specified with no suboptions. When TEST(NODWARF) is specified on the compile, the compiler uses the default setting of SOURCE since SOURCE | NOSOURCE suboption was not specified. The SOURCE suboption has no meaning with NODWARF, so the compiler switched it to NOSOURCE and put out the I-level message. The information in message IGYOS4097-I is confusing, redundant and unnecessary.
Problem conclusion
The compiler has been changed so that it no longer emits the IGYOS4097-I message when TEST(NODWARF) is specified on a compile.
