| IBM PowerHA SystemMirror for AIX Enterprise Edition adds support for the IBM DS8700 Global Mirror Feature September 10, 2010IBM PowerHA SystemMirror for AIX Enterprise Edition* (formerly HACMP*) V6.1 for AIX V5.3 and V6.1 adds support for the IBM DS8700 Global Mirror (asynchronous replication) feature.Asynchronous replication allows the flexibility to deploy multiple applications with Extended Distance Disaster Recovery support in variety of combinations. Enterprise customers can use PowerHA System Mirror (Enterprise Edition) 6.1 and DS8700 Global Mirror to add High Availability and Disaster Resiliency functions to multiple applications. Please refer to the following information for support details. The specified levels, or later, are required for this support. It is recommended to obtain the latest service updates for this support. SP3, or newer if applicable, can be downloaded from http://www14.software.ibm.com/webapp/set2/sas/f/hacmp/download/aix53.html NOTE: There are new install images required for this exact support. Performing a typical "update_all" on SP3 will not install them. You must perform and "install_all" and include:cluster.es.genxdcluster.msg.en_US.genxd The following storage hardware/software/microcode is required for this support: IBM DS8700 DS8700 Firmware Software Bundle V75.1.145.0 or later DSCLI version 6.5.1.203 or later Important: This support is initially limited to direct attach only. This limitation is expected to be removed in a future release.
