PQ85771: TRANSACTION MAY NOT BE PROPERLY ROUTED TO IT'S DESTINATION IF NAME IS CHANGED IN DFSMSCE0 TRXXX EXIT

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Message DFS064 occurred due to transaction name was changed but
  destination routing had not changed. If the DFSMSCE0 TRxxx exit
  is used to verify and possible change the transaction name, WLR
  may not catch the change and reroute the transaction remotely.

Problem summary

  * USERS AFFECTED: Installations which use WLR for transaction  *
  *                 routing and also code their own DFSMSCE0     *
  *                 exit with TRxxxx entry points which modify   *
  *                 the destination name.                        *
  ****************************************************************
  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Transaction may not be properly routed  *
  *                      to it's destination if name is changed  *
  *                      in the users own DFSMSCE0 exit.         *
  ****************************************************************
  * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
  ****************************************************************
  WLR routes message to original destination name after user's
  version of exit modified the destination name (MSTRDEST) and
  set MSTRFL2=MSTR2CHG indicating to IMS that the destination
  name has been changed. WLR routes the message based upon the
  changed destination name; however, it overlays flag MSTRFL2.
  This may result in message "DFS064 Destination cannot be
  found or created".
  

Problem conclusion

• The code has been modified to correct this problem.
