Cloud Pak for Security: Cases application displays 'An error occurred' message.

Troubleshooting


Problem

User navigates to Cases workflows in Cloud Pak for Security and receives "an error occurred" message. This message can be displayed on various workflows when navigating in Cases application.

Diagnosing The Problem

Perform the following steps:
  1. Go to CP4S project namespace
  2. Cloudctl into your cluster and view all pods.
    Cloudctl login -a url
  3. Use kubectl to get pods
    Note: Ensure that Cases-application pods are in running status and are 8/8.
  4. Run the following command to view logs in to the pod.
    kubectl logs -lname=isc-cases-application -c cases-application-client-log-tailer -f
  5. Perform log collection before taking any actions on pods. 
    cp4s run_mustgather -n (cp4s project name)

Resolving The Problem

There can be various reasons for the error message. You can perform restart of cases-application pods to restart the application:
kubectl delete pod -lname=isc-cases-application
If you still see any issues, open a case with Cloud Pak for Security support team.
