Big-Endian Linux on POWER only: there was an observable 5%
throughput regression for JMS.

Local fix

  • -Xthr:spin1=151

Problem summary

  • Supposedly equivalent change from pragma to GNU embedded
assembly caused different code being generated for the thread
spinLoop which caused this performance regression.

Problem conclusion

  • Fixed by a different default spin1 value.

   8    SR6 FP20  (8.0.6.20)
