Notification when MRE is inconsistent
Currently, when a monitored resource entry becomes inconsistent, the system administrator may not see the inconsistency immediately and may not know when it occurred. A feature has been added to the cluster administrative domain to write an entry to a log file in IFS at any time when the global status of an MRE changes to inconsistent. Sufficient data is written to the log file to uniquely identify the MRE that became inconsistent and the time at which the inconsistency occurred. The log file can be located in the IFS directory '/QIBM/UserData/OS400/Cluster/CstNotifications.log'. This file will also continue to keep improving by adding more useful cluster activity information, as future enhancements occur.

Retry cluster node activation after IPL
There has been a timing window when system administrators try to start a cluster node in their start-up program after an IPL, but the IP addresses specified for the cluster node are not yet fully activated. This situation will cause the cluster node to fail to start. The system administrator will be required to attempt the start of the cluster node again at a later time. An enhancement has been made to allow an automatic retry to start the cluster node after waiting for a period of time for the IP addresses to become fully active so that the start will be successful.
Note that this enhancement is already available for IBM i 7.4.
