* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Customer reported that, if not provided *
*                      by JCL, HALDB VSAM buffers are almost   *
*                      never successfully dynamically          *
*                      allocated by Index Builder.             *
*                      IEC161I 120-053, DFS0730I, and          *
*                      IIUH0622E messages are received, and    *
*                      the prime data base scan fails.         *

HALDB VSAM block size can be correctly obtained only from the
VSAM catalog.

Problem conclusion

  • Code has been added to obtain the HALDB VSAM block size from the
VSAM catalog.
