  • When IMSALT DD statement is provided and SIIULMOD is not
specified in the concatenation, the following error messages
are received:
IIUB031E UNABLE TO LOAD PSB=IIUPSB01
IIUB100E INDEX BUILDER INIT FAILURE - REASON=121 ERROR =318
.
The client would like IMS DD to be used to search for the
default PSBs even when IMSALT DD is specified for the database
DBDs.

IB23 first tries to load the DBDs from IMSALT when present, then
loads from IMS. There is no reason to try load the dynamic PSB
from IMSALT.

Problem conclusion

  • IB23 always loads the dynamic PSB from the IMS concatenation.
