PH26048: ADD ADDITIONAL INFORMATION TO AH01220 FOR CGI SCRIPT TIMEOUT

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When a CGI request has timed out, IHS will terminate the CGI
  using SIGTERM, wait, then send SIGKILL.  It is an abnormal end
  for the CGI.  When this happens, an abendEC6 RC 0000FF09
  happens.  But it can be hard to correlate the abend from the
  MVS system log to the messages in the IHS error log.  We will
  extend the timeout message already printed to include the CGI
  process ID, so it can be correlated with the system log entry.
  This way the customer can be certain it is a CGI being
  terminated and not HTTPD itself.

  On z/OS, append the CGI PID to the AH01220 message that
  indicates the CGI has timed out, and add an explicit warning
  that the process will be killed.
  

Problem conclusion

• The CGI process ID will be added to messages in the IHS error
  log to aid in correlation with messages in the system log.
  
  This fix is targeted for IBM HTTP Server fix packs:
  - 8.5.5.18
  - 9.0.5.5
