    This CICS APAR provides support for new policy task rule
    Container Storage to track the storage used by containers
    of a task and take action when exceeding a defined threshold.
    
    If your CICS region experiences transaction using a lot of
    containers and channels or using large containers and
    causing DFHPG0400 message be issued, you may want to be
    alerted before this situation happens using this new container
    storage rule.

Problem conclusion

  • CICS has been enhanced to provide the support for a new policy
    task rule Container Storage to track the storage used by
    containers of a task and take action when exceeding a
    defined threshold.
    
    Clients are advised that Jackson Databind, supplied as third
    party code with CICS Transaction Server for z/OS and licensed
    under the Apache 2.0 open source license, is updated to
    release 2.10.5.1 .
    
    The CICS Explorer for CICS Transaction Server for z/OS 5.5.0.15
    has also been enhanced to provide the policy editor support for
    users to specify container storage rules.
    
    CICS and CICS Explorer Knowledge centers will be updated at the
    next refresh to add the detail of this new function of CICS
    Policy provision for container storage management.
