Abstract
End of Support Notification for stand-alone products that are not a part of the Netcool Operations Insight bundle
Content
To maintain full product support, IBM recommends upgrading to later replacement versions of specific Netcool product versions as soon as possible.
Background to why, what and when to upgrade
End of Support has been announced for all product versions listed in the leftmost column in the table below. IBM recommends upgrading to later replacement versions of specific Netcool product versions as soon as possible in order to maintain full support.
- As a stand-alone product, integrated with other Netcool products. Stand-alone here means outside of Netcool Operations Insight.
- As part of an on-premises Netcool Operations Insight Virtual Machine / Physical Server installation.
- As part of a hybrid Netcool Operations Insight or CloudPak for Watson AIOps installation, where OMNIbus and allied products are deployed on VMs and AI components, such as Cloud Native Event Analytics are deployed on Kubernetes.
- As a containerized component within a full Kubernetes-based Netcool Operations Insight deployment.
- As a containerized component that is integrated with Cloud Pak for Watson AIOps.
However, mode 1, IBM Software Subscription and Support licensing for Netcool OMNIbus and Netcool Impact as stand-alone products, will cease at the end of September 2022, as described in this Support discontinuance document. This discontinuation for mode 1 is a reflection of how IBM is evolving these capabilities as part of Netcool Operations Insight and CloudPak for Watson AIOps.
