Question & Answer
Question
Why is Block Storage Replication profile missing volumes on the local side while the remote (peer management location) system has more volumes?
Answer
If the volume size on the remote system is expanded, the local system goes out of sync with the volume on the remote system.
Both, local and remote system volumes, must be of the same size to replicate the data between them.
If you want to increase the volume size, follow these steps:
1. Stop the volume replication.
2. Remove volumes from the replication group.
3. Expand the volume size.
4. Add volumes back to the replication group.
5. Start the volume replication.
1. Stop the volume replication.
2. Remove volumes from the replication group.
3. Expand the volume size.
4. Add volumes back to the replication group.
5. Start the volume replication.
Note: If you expand the volume size on the remote system without breaking the replication between the expanded volumes, the local system volume goes out of sync.
