What does NMEntityMappingComponent/delay parameter in rseries.properties do and what is its unit?

Question & Answer

Question

I am configuring device synchronization between IBM Tivoli Netcool Configuration Manager (NCM) and IBM Tivoli Network Manager (ITNM).
However, I did not manage to find any explanation about the "NMEntityMappingComponent/delay" parameter.
What is the parameter about?

Answer

The "NMEntityMappingComponent/delay" parameter is to specify the delay caused in running the NMEntityMappingComponent, i.e when we launch NCM.
It is the time taken to import the devices from ITNM to NCM after those devices are correctly discovered in ITNM for device synchronization to occur.
The unit for delay value is in minutes.
