Can we use Subject Alternative Name field from the client certificate for Guardium UI smart card authentication?
Answer
IBM Security Guardium v11.2 and below does NOT support the use of Subject Alternative Name field from the client certificate for smart card authentication.
Guardium UI smart card authentication is linked to the Subject in the certificate only.
You can make an RFE for new feature to allow the use of SAN:
