APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • IBM Spectrum Protect Plus Catalog restore functionality has
    several issues as follows:
    
    1. The catalog restore pop-up displays a generic message that
    didn't indicate which catalog recovery point was chosen.
    
    2. The catalog restore log files contain no timestamps to
    determine the timing of operations.
    
     3. The logging for the main catalog process is not being
    flushed until the end of the job.

Problem conclusion

  • Catalog restore functionality has been improved in the following
    ways:
    
    1. For catalog restore, the confirmation dialog has been updated
    to show the date and time of the selected recovery point.?
    2. Date and timestamps are now present in catalog backup logs.
    3. Catalog restore messages are logged to catalogrestore related
    files immediately, so the user can monitor job progress.
