Error description
The enhancement will provide a method for NetAccess defined named ZONES on incoming IP connections to be verified before allowing the connection. This will add an additional layer of access security to the Server which is controlled externally by NetAccess and SAF (RACF, ACF2, Top Secret). Zones can be defined down to a specific IP Address (Domain) or include a broad range of values. Each named zone can be assigned a generic class or a specific ID to limit access. Current plan is to verify the NetAccess ZONE before checking the USERID/PASSWORD - if USERID is not allowed for a ZONE or a ZONE is not allowed the connection will be rejected before attempting to validate a USERID and PASSWORD. The Server will need to complete enough of the connection to provide a rejection error message back to the client.
