Problem
In Internet Explorer, when you create an agent in Event Studio that contains special characters, the Run with options page does not appear and the following error message appears instead:
Internet Explorer has modified this page to help prevent cross-site scripting.
Note: In Cognos Configuration, the setting Security > IBM Cognos Application Firewall > Is third party XSS checking enabled? is already set to False.
Cause
This issue occurs if your Internet Explorer security setting was increased past the default value Medium-Low. The Enable XSS filter value is then reset to Enable.
Resolving The Problem
You can resolve this issue using these methods:

Use a browser other than Internet Explorer. For example, if you use Chrome or Firefox, you will not encounter this issue.

If acceptable based on the security standards of your company, in Internet Explorer you can set the Enable XSS filter to Disable for Intranet sites.
If you use the second method, you should add the Cognos server name to the Trusted sites list and control the XSS setting for this limited list of sites.
Note: This technote is not recommending that you change your browser security settings, only that this step will enable the aforementioned functionality.
