Abstract

In this workshop, including hands-on exercises with VPN lab access, participants deploy and configure the IBM Spectrum® Protect Plus release and gather hands-on experience by doing backups of virtual machines (VM) and applications and restoring them.

Objective
Further on it discusses the concept of protecting the backup data and the backup catalog by using replication in a multi-site setup and or Amazon S3 offload. Optimization and tuning of the IBM Spectrum Protect Plus server and the vSnap backup storage server are also discussed.

The workshop includes the released features and functions.
