What is the }async directory in TM1 Planning Analytics server ?
Cause
The }async folder and it's contents are related to the REST API ASYNC tasks that the TM1 Server performs.
The TI RunProcess() is one function that uses Async Rest API calls
This folder should not be manually accessed or its contents included in any backup process but you should include the directory itself
Should the TM1 Server crash and you notice files remain (or see older files, via timestamp) it is possible they are remnants of previous crash.
In this situation, the you can clean up manually - but only when the server is not running.
