APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • ADDI is not correctly collecting source code from the
mainframe. A program downloaded and logged as retrieved without
error is corrupt. After about 75% of the data on the server
from the mainframe we see part of another program injected into
the source.

  • AD5105: ERROR WHILE IMPORTING THE DATA FROM ZOS MAINFRAME -
WRONG DATA BUFFERS FORMAT

Problem conclusion

  • The DELETE segment in the get PDS members reply data was not
being converted from EBCDIC to ASCII during the message reply
routine.
This was mistakenly omitted when the AD Connect agent was
changed to use z/OS Unicode services to handle code page
conversion.
The DELETE processing subroutine was extended to include a call
to the code page conversion routine and this solved the problem.
