APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • During the upgrade process, the installer attempts to move the
current installation location of the LMT to the backup
folder.

When it is not possible due to using a dedicated mount
point, then the installation
fails.



To upgrade the server, starting from IBM License Metric Tool
9.2.20.0, download the server installer to the machine on which
current version of the ILMT server is running (using "Download
IBM License Metric Tool (<version>)" fixlet), extract it, open
command line, export the following environment variable:
export tlm_debug_disable_upgrade_check=true
and then run the server upgrade.
