APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • When a restore of a VM is performed and destination is set to
'ESX host if vCenter is down', the restored VM is not going
into the expected location when 'overwrite VM' is used.
Spectrum Protect Plus will create a new destination in the
datastore for the restored VM.
This will also cause a second restore of this VM to fail
after a new backup of this VM was taken.

  • Delete or unregister the VM before running direct to ESX host
