  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • Customer hit issue registering with APIM. They are sending the
    script they used to create the p12..
    Found that there appears
    to be an issue with the SSL client profile defined in the
    apic-gw-service.
    apic-gw-service is failing to communicate
    outbound to apim in request (nodejs) because the cert or key
    passed is undefined.
    

Local fix

  • Asked customer to change from p12 to cert and key explicitly
    (not inside p12).. Tried registration and it successfully
    registered
    

Problem summary

  • Registration with APIM fails when p12 cert and key with password
     are used in identification credentials of SSL client.
