Local fix
Use Log Target feature instead to transfer queue manager logs.
Problem summary
**************************************************************** USERS AFFECTED: MQ Appliance users who use the REST API to access queue manager error logs while an HA failover is in progress. Platforms affected: MultiPlatform **************************************************************** PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: While processing a queue manager failover any process that is holding a lock on the queue manager file system is killed immediately. In this case the lock was held by the drouter process and killing this process results in the reload.
Problem conclusion
The code is modified to allow the drouter process to finish its work and release the lock on the queue manager file system. MQ appliances users are recommended to apply the fix for the APAR IT33612 with the fix for APAR IT30354 as IT33612 might cause some of the changes added by IT30354 ineffective. --------------------------------------------------------------- The fix is targeted for delivery in the following PTFs: Version Maintenance Level v9.1 CD 9.1.5 v9.1 LTS 9.1.0.7 The latest available maintenance can be obtained from 'WebSphere MQ Recommended Fixes' http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=171&uid=swg27006037 If the maintenance level is not yet available information on its planned availability can be found in 'WebSphere MQ Planned Maintenance Release Dates' http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=171&uid=swg27006309 ---------------------------------------------------------------
