When you run the versionInfo utility on Web server plug-ins for IBM WebSphere Application Server Version 7.0 and IBM HTTP Server Version 7.0 on certain 64-bit images, it might indicate 32-bit architectures.

If the issue described in this technote occurs, the line starting with Architecture indicates a 32-bit architecture on a 64-bit image.
Environment
For the Web server plug-ins for WebSphere Application Server, the versionInfo utility displays a 32-bit architecture on the following 64-bit platform:
- AIX PPC64
- AIX PPC64
- Linux PPC64
- Linux S390 64
- Solaris Sparc 64
- Microsoft Windows AMD 64
Resolving The Problem
No action is required. The architecture displayed reflects the binary files installed by the product. This usually matches the architecture of the installed image; but in each of the cases discussed in this technote, 32-bit binary files are installed on a 64-bit platform. Therefore, the architecture reported is expected and correct.
