Abstract

IBM Maximo Spatial Asset Management - DBLINK Functions Discontinued

Description

IBM Maximo Spatial Asset Management is discontinuing the DBLINK functions, and will be officially moving to fully use Feature Services that became available after Spatial 7.6.0.0 .
All versions of IBM Maximo Spatial Asset Management leading up to, and including 7.6.0.3 include the compatibility with earlier versions for DBLINKs.
In IBM Maximo Spatial Asset Management 7.6.0.4 and later, functions related to and using DBLINK connection to their GIS Services are removed in the background.  You might notice some functions are no longer available.
In IBM Maximo Spatial Asset Management 7.6.0.5, there are errors that inform you that you are required to use the feature service from your GIS to resolve the problem.
In IBM Maximo Spatial Asset Management versions greater than 7.6.0.5, code related to DBLINKs is removed.
After you update your GIS services to use Feature Services, you are able to resume all capabilities.
If you require further clarification, contact IBM Maximo Support.
