  1. ECuRep in My Notifications
ECuRep is introduced as new product in My Notifications in category product notifications. An ECuRep category is also implemented for products with news about changes to the ECuRep data exchange process. These changes might include security-related changes as well as information about new functions.
A new change notification is listed under item 3.

  2. Auto-subscribed to ECuRep for IBM customers
As a starting point, IBM customers with My Notifications enabled receive this initial announcement because they are subscribed automatically.

  3. Security-related changes of FTP servers for data upload

    3.1 Plain FTP servers
The plain FTP servers, ftp.ecurep.ibm.com, and ftp.ap.ecurep.ibm.com, are still available but will be discontinued for manual data upload on 27 July 2020.
Then, only authenticated FTPS (FTP over TLS) and SFTP (FTP over SSH) will be supported for manual FTP uploads.
We strongly recommend using the new servers enforcing encryption. The current FTP options are described on the Send data (FTP) page.
Only the Java utility IBM® Secure Diagnostic Data Upload Utility (SDDUU) and the IBM z/OS® Problem Documentation Upload Utility (PDUU) are able to use these servers with secure protocols then. These utilities do not enforce transport layer encryption because they support end-to-end encryption of the data transferred.
A list of all supported methods sending data to ECuRep is available on the Send data overview page.

    3.2 Cipher suites with SHA-1
Also, on 27 July 2020 we will disable cipher suites that use SHA-1 hashing algorithms.
Make sure that your FTP client is supporting current encryption options.

Note: Data uploads that use HTTPS protocol are not affected by this change.
