APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• A small delay in the time it takes to open a session with the
  IBM Spectrum Protect server might impact performance of
  applications which quickly open and close sessions with the
  server. This is most often noticed with API applications after
  the API is upgraded to version 7.1.8 or later, or 8.1.2 or
  later.
  
  Spectrum Protect Versions Affected: V7.1.8 and V8.1.2 or higher
    on all supported platforms.
  
  Customer/Support Diagnostics :
   A client service trace shows entries similar to these, the
  delay seen is about a few hundreds of milliseconds, while it
  should be a factor of a few milliseconds or tens of
  milliseconds per GSKit library call =>
