**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All users of IBM Common Data Provider Common * * Data Handler for z Systems v2.1. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: CDP V2.1 2020 JUNE MAINTENANCE FOR * * DEFECT FIXES for Common Data Handler. * * - CDP modifies CICS Liberty json * * messasges.log * * - savingpolicy.sh script doesn't * * support "@" character * * - Missing time process for CICS YMD and * * DMY data streams * * - CDPz Data Streamer does not * * understand the Logstash request to * * close TCPIP connection * * - Data Streamer does not close * * http/https connection * * - Incorrect @timestamp value set for * * SMF_119_94_98 at on Splunk/Logstash * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: Apply this PTF. * **************************************************************** - CDP modifies CICS Liberty json messasges.log Duplicate escape process applied for JSON message which causes invalid characters in CICS messages.log. - savingpolicy.sh script doesn't support "@" character Incorrect checking for the USER and GROUP in savingpolicy.sh. - Missing time process for CICS YMD and DMY data streams No data format assigned for CICS YMD & DMY data streams which causes incorrect result in Splunk. - CDPz Data Streamer does not understand the Logstash request to close the TCPIP connection Data Streamer does not acknowledge connection close requests from TCP based subscribers. - Data Streamer does not close http/https connection Data streamer needs to be updated to close the http/https connection when it is no longer alive. - Incorrect @timestamp value set for SMF_119_94_98 at on Splunk/Logstash The @timestamp value is incorrect for SMF_119_94_98 which causes Splunk and Logstash to can not find the correct fields.
Problem conclusion
CDP v2.1 is updated to fix this the problems above.
