APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • By default it is assigned transaction ID 'BBOC' but the
customer is allowed to change this to any transaction ID that
they prefer to use. Since the BBOACNTL program doesn't know
what that transaction ID is, it saves the transaction ID that
was used when the WOLA Task Related User Exit (TRUE) is
started. The failure happens when the CICS transaction ID which
was saved when the TRUE was activated is a CPLT transaction
fails. Yet CPLT is an internal CICS program and so we cannot
    modify the respective transactionID

    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
When the WOLA Task Related User Exit (TRUE) is enabled during
CICS startup, the transaction ID is saved by bboacntl. Later on
the saved transaction ID can be used for transaction recovery.
When a transaction ID of CPLT is used during transaction
recovery, the following message is issued:
    DFHAC2236 03/04/2020 09:47:37 AP06CC18 Transaction CPLT abend
ASIB in program DFHSIPLT term ????. Updates to local
recoverable resources will be backed out.

Problem conclusion

  • The WAS z/OS Optimized Adapters CICS PLT Init program,
bboacplt, was changed to specify CTID=BBOC when starting the
    task related user exit (TRUE).

The Optimized Adapters CICS Control transaction program,
bboacntl, will use the CICS transaction identifier specified on
CTID= when specified. If CTID= is not specified and the CICS
transaction identifier is CPLT, BBOC will be used as the CICS
    transaction identifier instead of CPLT.

The following shows how to specify a CICS transaction
identifier BBOC when starting the WOLA TRUE.
    BBOC START_TRUE CTID=BBOC
