Problem

IBM Control Center error during installation: The current open file size of 4096 is out of operating range.

Symptom

 
CMD OUT-->The current open file size of 4096 is out of operating range.

Cause

Values of Unix parameter open files are too small.

Diagnosing The Problem

Run ulimit -a to find out the value of open files.

Resolving The Problem

  1. Set limits in the systemd config file: Change the values for open files to 8192 and stack size to unlimited.
  2. Run configCC.
