* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: A large number of IGZ0268 and/or        *
*                      IGZ0269 messages may be emitted if the  *
*                      application consists of a large number  *
*                      of OS/VS COBOL programs                 *
****************************************************************
* RECOMMENDATION: Apply the provided PTF.                      *
****************************************************************
The purpose of APAR PM86742, which provides a new function, is
to emit messages indicating when OS/VS COBOL programs are run.
There can be a large number of IGZ0268 and/or IGZ0269 messages
if the application consists of a large number of OS/VS COBOL
programs.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • A new function has been added. The macro SCEEMAC(IGZXOPT) has
been updated and sample SCEESAMP(IGZ2OPT) added to provide
additional controls to messages IGZ0268 and IGZ0269. Installing
this APAR does not affect applications which do not contain
OS/VS COBOL programs.  See this technote for details:
