PI36810: PROGRAM RUN ENDS WITH U4088 ABEND

Error description

• The ABEND issue with error code U4088 reason x'63' at QSAM file
  operation may occur when the dataset is RECFM=U and
  it is a dataset with multi-volumes that is eligible for Large
  Block Inerface processing.

  In the I/O exit routine that handles end of volume processing
  for the COBOL runtime, it uses the save area prepared by the I/O
  verbs routines for RECFM=U with LBI to acquire LE stack space.
  The save area was incorrectly prepared which cause the ABEND.
  

Problem conclusion

• The runtime library was corrected so that QSAM I/O verbs for
  datasets with RECFM=U, LBI, and multiple volumes would no longer
  cause a U4088, reason 63 ABEND during end of volume processing.
