Error description

• IGZ0099C Internal error STOR0001 was detected in module
  IGZSTOR. Which leads to ABENDU4038
  
  When a Cobol V5.1 program using a COBOL cancel statement for a
  subprogram, freeing the memory originally allocated to that
  program version, we see a U4038 ABEND. If the program being
  canceled is COBOL V4, there is no issue.

  *                      called by a pre-V5 COBOL program, the   *
  *                      ILC CANCEL from CEERELES fails to       *
  *                      properly CANCEL the V5 program. The     *
  *                      WORKING-STORAGE is released, however,   *
  *                      When the V5 program is called again     *
  *                      dynamically, the WORKING-STORAGE is     *
  *                      not being reinitialized properly.       *

  * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the provided PTF.                      *

  When driven for ILC CANCEL, the V5 runtime failed to properly
  clean up the corresponding CLLE entry in the COBOL runtime.
  

Problem conclusion

• ILC CANCEL is corrected to clean up all relevant storage
  associated with the program in the COBOL runtime.
