Problem
The Operations dashboard and NOC dashboard in IBM Storage Insights® show an IBM DS8000® storage system without any performance statistics. The read and write metrics are all 0s. It also can occur with the performance statistics reported in IBM Spectrum Control®.

Cause
When a DS8000 storage device is a PPRC secondary, replication traffic is not included in the performance counters stored and reported by the device. If there is no host I/O, there are no volume statistics.
Resolving The Problem
There is nothing to resolve. Reporting 0s for the volume performance statistics for the PPRC secondary is the expected behavior when there is no host I/O. Since the array and port resource information includes the replication activity, non-0 performance data can be found for the FC Ports and RAID Arrays.
