Error description
When working in the IBM Rational ClearCase/Cadence integration, you may not see an error message stating you are creating an evil twin directory or element. In Cadence, you may see the following: Info (ccase): Creating parent directory element "/var/vob/test/ttestcc/vob/directory/ symbol". Info (ccase): Creating parent directory element "/var/vob/test/ttestcc/vob/directory" . Info (ccase): Checking out parent directory "/var/vob/test/ttestcc/vob/units/counter_16/oa/counter_16". Error (ccase): Unable to create directory element "/var/vob/test/ttestcc/vob/directory" If you create the element in command line, you will see the expected results: $ ct mkelem -c 'evil twin check' AAA.txt An evil twin of "AAA.txt" was detected in version "/main/1" of the directory. cleartool: Error: Unable to create element "AAA.txt".
