APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• If any method of Conversation is called when the conversation
  scope is not active, a ContextNotActiveException should
  be thrown.
  

Local fix

• Set the "WAR class loader policy" to "Single class loader for
  application" and then @Inject in the servlet works as expected

Problem conclusion

• The runtime code has been updated to throw a
  ContextNotActiveException when Conversation object methods are
  called without an active conversation scope.
  
  The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
  fix packs 8.0.0.13 and 8.5.5.12.  Please refer to the
