Error description

  • After you create an IBM Business Automation Workflow deployment
environment on Windows, you notice that the directory structure
is corrupted; it is written as the value of
    iviewproConfigurationDirectory in IBM Content Navigator
    application's navigator.war/WEB-INF/web.xml file.

You also see the following exception in the Business Automation
Workflow server's SystemOut.log file after the server starts:

    [3/31/20 8:04:06:992 UTC] 000008f9 SystemOut O [03/31/20

Local fix

  • 1. Stop the deployment manager and the other servers.
    2. Run the BPMConfig command, replacing the backslash in
networkDirectory with a slash, for example
BPMConfig.bat -update -profile DmgrProfile -de DEName -component
    ContentNavigator -networkDirectory
    D:/Programs/IBM/WebSphere/AppServer/CaseManagement/properties
    3. Restart the deployment manager and the other servers.

Problem summary

  • The file path becomes corrupted because the backslash in the
file path on Windows isn't handled properly.

Problem conclusion

  • A fix is available or will be available that ensures the
directory structure isn't corrupted in the configuration file of
     the Navigator application.
