What data should I collect and share with the Operational Decision Manager support team for LDAP configuration issues in the Business Console?

Summary

I am facing issues with the LDAP configuration in the Business Console. Some of the problems faced include the following -
1. Unable to connect to the LDAP repository.
2. No LDAP users or groups are found.
3. Newly added LDAP users or groups are not found.
4. Some users from an LDAP group are not found.

What debug data should I collect and share with the Operational Decision Manager support team?

Steps

Ensure that you have followed the steps in How do I enable LDAP users to use IBM ODM decision center? accurately.
For Operational Decision Manager v8.9.1.0 and higher
  1. Use this trace string: com.ibm.rules.decisioncenter.userregistry=FINE
  2. Reproduce the problem once.
  3. For your application server, zip the folder that contains the logs and other trace files and share it with the Operational Decision Manager support team.
For Operational Decision Manager v8.9.0.x and lower
  1. Download the attached file and unzip it to an empty folder.
  2. Open a command prompt and run java -jar ldapValidation.jar ldap.properties
  3. The above command will create the ldap.properties file in the same folder.
  4. Open the ldap.properties file in a text editor and set the values of the properties in this file to match the values you have used in the Business Console.
  5. Open a command prompt and run java -jar ldapValidation.jar ldap.properties
  6. This tool simulates the Business Console importing users and will show errors if any. If you see errors then modify the values in the ldap.properties file and repeat step 5. It is recommended that you engage your LDAP administrator to help with the values for the properties in the ldap.properties file.
  7. Once the tool runs without errors, open Business Console and set the values in the LDAP configuration to match those in the ldap.properties file.
